We are proud to have been charged with restoring this American beauty. Typical of the American rock ‘n’ roll era of brash, proud cars, the like of which will undoubtedly never be seen again. Look past the enormous chrome bumpers and the famous tail fins and bullet rear lamp assemblies, more akin to something from a science fiction film than anything seen on British roads, and you have a real quality piece, with deep chrome fixtures and fittings, a smoothness that belies its years and some of the largest ashtrays ever fitted to a car ! We have stripped the body and removed from the chassis, prepared and blasted the shell in order to create a car of the highest standards. Watch this gallery as the project progresses…

Bespoke Mini Clubman

This Mini has been restored to a bespoke specification. The Roman Bronze finish was applied after painstaking body modifications including our own trademark de-seaming technique, rear lamp frenching, a custom fabricated boot lid with upwardly-opening hinges, Wolfrace wheels and a twin-headlamp conversion. The custom front grill you see was hand made by our bodywork technician, a painstaking but rewarding process which has helped the car develop it’s own unique personality. The interior features reupholstered Recaro bucket seats, finished in tweed at the request of our customer. Polished burr walnut dashboard and door cappings were selected to finish the interior, with a discreet sound system and period head unit with full modern capability.

Under the bonnet we find our famous 1380cc spec fast road engine. We have developed this specification over 25 years of building Mini engines, and come to this point, what we consider to be the ultimate road engine for the classic Mini. Each component is selected and refined to work in conjunction with the other. The onus is placed on drivability and smoothness, rather than a peaky, unhappy engine with a headline BHP figure. That said, this engine still produces more power than other so-called race engines.
